Funerals

Funerals

It is our experience that the funeral service can become an occasion of thanksgiving  for the life of a loved one and bring comfort, hope, and help to the bereaved. God's love and power extend over all creation. Every life, including our own is precious to God. Christian's have always believed that there is hope in death as in life, and that there is new life in Christ over death.

For members of the ChristChurch Woking and for those who live within our  parish (Anglican Churches within the local area have designated geographical boundaries) we provide support when a loved one dies. This includes helping to plan and then lead a funeral service either at ChristChurch or at Woking Crematorium. We seek to find a way for people to express faith and feelings and to say farewell.

For people who don't have a connection with their local church usually a funeral director will offer advice and act as the first point of contact with your local church. If you would like to speak to a member of the clergy at ChristChurch about a funeral service then please contact the church office.
